With the continuous scale-up and inter-regional of distribution network, therequirements for operation economy and reliability get higher. When blackout happens indistribution network, we need to change the topological structure of the distributionnetwork to restore power. The process can be called restoring reconfiguration ofdistribution network. This combinatorial optimization problem is nonlinear andmulti-objective. Intelligent optimization algorithm is considered to be the most effectiveway to solve the problem.This paper choose Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) to solve the problem. First, byanalysing the difference between restoring reconfiguration and optimizing reconfigurationof distribution network, this paper establish the mathematics model of restoringreconfiguration in distribution network, aimed at maximize the restoration of loads.Discrete Particle Swarm Optimization(DPSO) has been used to solve the restoringreconfiguration in distribution network. According to the requirements of the topologicalstructure of distribution network, this paper choose Deep First Search to detect if thestructure is radical. Based on these,"Minimize Circle Breaking" has been raised to modifythe topological structure with loop, aimed at reducing the power loss in distributionnetwork. After these, this paper analyse the convergence of DPSO and adjust theparameters in DPSO, penalty function has been introduced into objective function toimprove the algorithm. At last, this algorithm is coded in MATLAB.The examples this paper choose to calculate are16-node and69-node distributionnetwork, the results prove that DPSO is efficient in optimizing the solution of restoringreconfiguration in distribution network. It is quick converged and perform well incalculation efficiency.
