Abstract/Summary:
The building curtain wall is the product of modern building technologydevelopment as well as building envelope integrated with building technologyand arts, which has over100years’ history internationally and20years’history of rapid development domestically. At present, the building curtainwall has been also increasing at the rate of5,000,000m2per year.Now, the building energy consumption has accounted for about1/4ofChina energy usage. Based on the statistics, the energy consumption ofbuilding curtain wall and other envelopes has occupied about72%of the totalbuilding energy consumption duo to heat conduction, heat radiation andconvection. The “Mid-&Long-term Special Program for Energy Saving” and“National Energy Saving Technology Policy” have specified the requirementsfor energy saving implementation and technology of buildings.The research on thermal performance of domestic building curtain wallmainly focuses on theoretical study, numeric calculation and simulationanalysis, especially for heat transfer coefficient. In addition, the heat transfercoefficient of building curtain wall is short of verification for test data while taking design calculation based on related specification.This issue researches the development of domestic and foreign curtainwall and sums up the development trends of building curtain wall trends. Also,this issue researches the physical performance and detection technology’development of building curtain wall and comes up with the research subjectof thermal performance evaluation and testing.By analysis the relation of building curtain wall structure and thermalproperties,this issue researches the energy consumption influence ofwindow to wall of transparent curtain wall, heat transfer coefficient ofmaterials, thermal radiation and air convection on building curtain wall.This issue has established of the thermal performance evaluation guide line ofbuilding curtain wall: building curtain wall’s tightness, shading coefficient,visible light transmittance and heat transfer coefficient.Through the research and summary of thermal performance testingstandards and equipment in domestic and foreign, this issue has researchedand manufactured the test systems of building curtain wall’s thermalperformance, and has tested the heat transfer coefficient and shadingcoefficient of double Skin Facades curtain wall.This issue has analyzed and established the energy conservationalteration technology of building curtain wall and has launched the projectexample of existing building curtain wall on energy conservation.The research results will have larger social benefits and long-term potential benefit on ensuring the scientific design and the energy consumptionreduction of the building curtain wall. Study of detection technology willprovide the government management and scientific research the technologyfoundation and means, lay the foundation for further developing the curtainwall detection research and play a catalytic role on raising constructiontechnique levels of the curtain wall. Study of energy conversation technologywill play a guiding role on the energy conversation projects of the curtainwall.
