In recent years, the automobile electronic technology developed faster and faster, lessenergy consumption, small pollution electric vehicles entered people’s sight, coupled withpeople to pursue high living comfort, comfort of electric vehicles, especially in the coldwinter, gradually people paid more attention to before entering the car, or in the process ofdriving, the inside temperature reached a suitable value. So, the research and development ofindependent auxiliary heater with preheat function, little affect the vehicle’s dynamics, easilyinstall or removal, was of great significance.The paper thorough analyzed the principle ofelectric vehicles main devices drive system firstly, then proposed a scheme of auxiliary heatercontrol system for electric vehicles.The UPD78K00515D chip of NEC has been used tocomplete the whole heater control system, and then the EP2C35F672C6,Field ProgrammableGate Array(FPGA) chip was used to improve the insufficient places of former control strategy,last the simulation results in line with design requirement. Main innovation work were asfollows:Firstly, The UPD78K00515D chip of NEC was used as a core chips of the auxiliaryheater control system in this paper.The Altium Designer6.0software was used to design andmanufacture the schematics diagram and PCB Board of control system circuit,By softwareprogramming and hardware debugging, realized the basic function of heater.The paper usedthe Labview8.5software of NI corporation and RS232to realize serial communications, thechanges of auxiliary heater’s temperature ware displayed on the host computer.Secondly, the EP2C35F672C6chip of FPGA was used as a core chip in this paper,combined with VHDL language and Schematic diagram design method, Not only achieve thePWM waves requirements of the auxiliary heater, and for the insufficient of the Pure analogcircuits control method, used DDS technology, achieved innovation in voltage range of oilpump control strategy, also provided a very good reference on the research of electricvehicle’s auxiliary heater control system with FPGA development platform.
