Abstract/Summary:
With the development of economy and the expansion of the scale ofconstruction investment,engineering technical problems of infrastructureconstruction becomes more complex, it requires us to understand the nature of thesoil deeply, clay in our country is widely distributed and it has complex engineeringproperties. This paper set the soil as the research object, and complywith the development of soil mechanics discipline law, refer to previousexperiment’s specification, by means of indoor experiment to set the experienmentto research the remolding of clay.Firstly, to use the mud consolidation method to make saturated remodelingclay samples,then to determine the basic physical properties of saturated soilsample,which are moisture content and dry density value, and analyzes the rule ofits change. Combined with the soil consolidation mechanism for analyse, we canobtain a conclusion that the with the increase of stress,water content of saturatedspecimen increase, dry density decrease.Secondly, using the saturated specimen which comes from consolidationmethod to do the direct and shear test, measure and calculate its shear strength andthe shear strength parameters, which is internal friction angle and sticky gatheredforce value, and analyzes the change rule. Combined with shear strength theory andthe existing research about remolded soil shear characteristics.It shows that forremodeling saturated clay,with the increase of stress, sticky gathered force andinternal friction angle value increase and they decrease when the moisture contentincrease.With the increase of deling stress, shear strength increases.Finally, using the teral stress value of GJYK0oedometer’s measuring soilsamples to analyse, it is concluded that when sample completely saturated, lateralstress coefficient is close to a steady value, which is1.0without drainage and0.6with drainage.The change process of owe consolidation soil lateral stresscoefficient K with time and pore pressure increment are consistent; For theprevious research achievements about over-consolidated soils, we get a lateralstress coefficient experience formula:Koc=K0(OCR)0.59. The main factors of soil lateral stress are its vertical load,the soil moisture content,including its saturationand so on.In this paper,the research achievement of the basic nature of remouldedsaturated soil, its shear properties,and its lateral stress state in the process of soilsample remodeling agrees the previous research achievements, and brings aboutsome new achievements, such as the research on side stress coefficient in theprocess of the sample’s uninstall and reloading, it promotes the development of thediscipline and have a certain guiding role on the practical engineering.
