Currently, microgrid technology is the publicly known power industry developmentdirection in the world. The microgrid usually contains a variety of micro-sources, whichhave their own unique characteristics. Therefore, the research on the optimal configurationand economic operation model for multi-energy microgrid is one of the key technologies toachieve the economic operation of multi-energy microgrid. The diversity of primary energy in the multi-energy microgrid makes the configurationand operation of the microgrid to consider many factors; photovoltaic and wind powergeneration system is the typical micro-sources in the multi-energy microgrid system, andtheir power output is sensitive to the external environment.Different installation location with different wind and solar energy, these will make thebig difference of wind turbine and photovoltaic cell’s power output, and impact the system’sconfiguration and scheduling operation strategy. In recent years, electric vehicles are seenas a kind of special load. With the increasing number of electric vehicles, they will alsohave the impact on the economic operation of the microgrid.Based on this, this paper studies the optimal allocation and economic operation modelof multi-energy microgrid on installation location, stochastic and special load. The mainwork and innovation point is presented as follow:(1) The optimal configuration mathematical model and evaluation index are proposed.During the period of microgrid, due to the different lifetime of generators, some of themshould be replaced. If the initial investment of the whole system is selected as the objectfunction, that can not reflect the economic impact of equipment replacement. So we choosethe annual equipment investment rather than the initial equipment investment.(2) The multi-object economic operation model, evaluation index and constraints areproposed. The stochastic power output of wind and photovoltaic cells is considered. Thesub-functions are following: the fuel consumption cost function, the operating cost ofrenewable energy, the penalty cost of stochastic, the penalty cost of pollution and the powerexchange earnings.(3) According to the proposed objective function, the case study is based oninstallation location, stochastic and special load. The first case is about the economicimpact of installation location. We select some typical cities in our country to have thedetail analysis. According to the results, we give out the advice about what kind ofmicrogrid system suitable in different cites. The second case is about economic influence with intermittent resources. We discussed the system economic operation impact ofstochastic power output from renewable energy resources, the stochastic penalty coefficientand the pollution penalty coefficient. The third case is about the multi-energy microgridwith the special load electric vehicles, the dynamic matching between electricity generationand load, as well as the income distribution between microgrid operator and vehicleowners.
