With the development of the power system, the requirements of the transformerare increasingly high. Traditional electromagnetic current transformer has exposedsome serious shortcomings in the operation gradually, and has been difficult tomeet the demand for digital power station. The project’s research and developmentof the digital all-fiber current transformer is to begin developing high-techintelligent system for the outdoor current metering equipment upgrading of thepower system, and combine with the actual operation of the power system. Thesystem is further developed, based on the original transformer technology in theLimited Company of Anhui HuaNeng Cable Group. It will utilize thecomprehensive of information technology, integrated manufacturing technology tomake the product and improve constantly.A large number of scientific literatures available on the market currenttransformer products at home and abroad, it used the anti-interference capability,complete electrical isolation, etc. of the digital all-fiber current detection system.On the basis of the principle of optical fiber current sensor, it will develop acompact, based on the application of the state of polarization modulation of theFaraday Effect in the high voltage side current detection digital all-fiber currentdetecting system. It will improve the electromagnetic transformer in power systemcurrently.It used the principle of linear birefringence in the polarization maintaining fiberto inhibit inherent in the fiber effectively, used the Jones Matrix to analyze of theall-fiber system, and used the software of MATLAB to simulate the system. It hasverified by the theoretical analysis and the simulation of the digital all-fiber currentthat the transformer current value and the actual current is consistent, and hasverified that the established system of mathematical models and simulation modelsare both feasible.The New China Dragon Electronic Co., Ltd. microcontroller C8051F330is asthe control core for designing the hardware control circuit of the current detectionsystem. The signal conditioning of the sensor head collected is sent to themicrocontroller to achieve intelligent measurement system, while meeting theneeds of the intelligent grid.
