Radome is an important part of the missile radar system. The performances of missileradome are directly related to the accuracy. Analysis and design of electrical and mechanicalperformances are the significant processes in the research on the missile. Among them, theelectrical performances which included power transmission coefficient and boresight error(BSE) and structural strength are primary performance indicators.Firstly, based on the four-terminal network theory, the relations between the thickness ofskin and core were given. The power transmission coefficient in A structure and C structurehad been analyzed. The differences of electrical performance between A structure and Cstructure had been given. Towards A structure missile radome, the core thickness of differentskin thickness had been optimized. According to the requirement, within range of radarsystem scan angle, the best skin and core thickness had been given.Secondly, utilized electromagnetic simulation software FEKO which based method ofmultilevel fast multipole algorithm, and combined with transmission line theory, a waveguideslot array antenna had been designed. According to the deviation of waveguide slot arrayantenna difference-patterns within range of radar system scan angle, the boresight error, which caused by the A structure missile radome, had been obtained. Finally, external flow field of missile radome at the speed of0.7Mach had beensimulated numerically by using CFD software FLUENT. The Mach number distribution ofexternal flow field and the pressure distribution of radome wall had been given. Structuralanalysis of missile radome utilized the ANSYS software, and stress and strain distribution onmissile radome had been worked out. According to the result, missile radome in this paper, meeting the electrical performance requirments, met the structure performance requirements.
