With the development of economy, China’s urbanization process to accelerate. In theurbanization construction, the building will be built a lot. According to the demands of thecustomers, it is necessary that the building below a few layers is built larger space so that setshops, restaurants or parking facilities, and the upper is designed to smaller area for residenceor office. The build of bottom frame structure not only satisfy the requirements of variousaspects to building use function, but also has the advantages of low cost, short time andsimple construction. In the recent years, the bottom frame structure have developed rapidlyand widely used in domestic engineering construction for urbanization construction to save alot of money and make a great contribution.China is an earthquake-prone country, especially the Wenchuan earthquake in2008. Inthis earthquake, the bottom frame structure of the building under the effects of the earthquakedestroyed, some even appeared overall collapse. It gives people caused serious casualties andgreat damage to property. Therefore, the bottom frame structure’s research of mechanicalbehavior and its various anti-seismic performances under the earthquake, it is necessary toprovide theoretical basis for the future is better application in earthquake zone.In the seismic design of bottom frame structure, the design value from standard value ofhorizontal seismic shear in addition to multiplied by partition coefficient, but also multipliedby increase coefficient. But in the seismic design, the existing norms only given the range ofincrease coefficient, and did not give a specific formula, so the paper which compared andanalysis of the actual seismic shear and theoretical calculations of bottom frame structure inearthquake, discussed the relationship between increasing coefficient and stiffness oftransition layer and the bottom with example.This paper enclosing the anti-seismic performance of the bottom frame structure, andapplying the research method of theoretical analysis, case study and numerical simulation,and integrated application of multiple disciplines knowledge, such as structure engineering,the earthquake engineering and numerical simulation, and the research results to increase theanti-seismic performance of the bottom frame structure.
