This paper illustrates a small NdFeB permanent magnet materials of the workpiece surface defect characteristics, analyzes the reasons, designs the workpiece surface defect detection system and realize to detect real-time automatic to the surface. According to the requirements of the design automatically detects the surface.designs the mechanical drive system, automatic control system, lighting system, image acquisition and processing system. Among them, the design of mechanical transmission system of the workpiece by the movement in the transmission characteristics of the process and force analysis of the situation is done, a mathematical model and its simulation using ADAMS with CATIA three-dimensional modeling is obtained, and design to optimize the design; automatic control System uses a single chip control programs; lighting system design is of choice the parameters of the various component parts and optical analysis and calculation, a reasonable choice of parameters, optimal design. Image acquisition and processing system from the part of the surface features, defects detection algorithm type and proceeds through the defects on the surface texture characteristics, to achieve the design of software algorithms. Finally, through the off angle, small hole, scratches, cracks and trachoma piece of test images to verify the feasibility of the software algorithm and hardware system reliability.
