Modified emulsified asphalt concrete, a new type of semi flexiblematerial, which is different from ordinary emulsified asphalt and hot asphaltmixture with the mechanism of strength formation and mechanical properties.it has been applied in highway engineering and achieved good results. Withlow pollution, high strength and good deformation, well permeability, plentyof service time, modified emulsified asphalt will probably used in damimpervious core wall while hot asphalt widely used in recent years. Theperformance of the material aspects will improve better by adding withcement.A study of modified emulsified asphalt concrete, including axialcompressive strength and the corresponding strain, compressive strength afterimmersion in water changes and water stability, deformation capacity, splittingstrength, modulusofelasticity, creep deformation in different levels of stress, permeability coefficient, which are used to estimate the possibility ofapplication in dam impervious core, was made by uniaxial compression test, water stability test, bending test, tensile test, static three triaxial test, creeptest, permeability test in this paper. The mechanical properties of modifiedasphalt emulsion concrete with cement are superior to ordinary asphaltemulsion and hot asphalt, and the indicators meet the regulatory requirementsthat applied to the dam impervious core wall is feasible.Different from the dam core wall construction with hot asphalt concrete, the cement-modified emulsified asphalt concrete more adapted tounfavorable weather by saving energy, reducing the environmental pollution.
