| In order to solve the excessive noise problem of the mine car crew’s right ear,the identification test of the noise source of the whole car is implemented and theexhaust system is one of the noise source is discovered. To decrease the totalinterior noise of the cab, the research of the exhaust system is a necessity.This paper briefly introduce the basic concept and the production mechanismof the noise derived from exhaust system, and summarize the design principle ofthe basic component of the muffler to make a better preparation for the followingresearch. To conduct the performance simulation of the muffler, the finite elementmodel is established, the expansion rate, the length of the first chamber, the lengthof the tail pipe are selected as the three factors to arrange the orthogonalexperiment. The key factor to the final performance are found and the improvemeasures are determined. Then the effect of the perforated pipe’s structure factorsto the performance are studied, we establish the relationship between the parameterand the transmission loss.The fluid flow state and the aero-acoustic regeneration noise are simulated, thevaried flow fluid velocity is set as the initial condition to study the airflowregeneration noise.The design and development process of the exhaust system is summarized, thefeasibility of computer-aided design exhaust system is explored. We establish thethree dimension model and evaluate the TL of the muffler by the use of theGT-POWER, which simplify the performance simulation process of the muffler.Using this method, we put forward three improvement programs andcomprehensively compare the advantage and disadvantage of them and determinethe best scheme. During the application of the scheme, the effect verified good. |
