The light truck cab is consisted of a variety of different shapes of thin-walled panelsconnecting from a variety ways. As the environment of the occupants, the cab is vulnerableto a variety of excitation and vibration from outside world, and forms noise. The vibratingbody panels squeeze the adjacent indoor air, so that the sound pressure distribution of theinterior is transformed. At the same time, the transform of the sound pressure distributionwill generate excitation to the body panels, forming vibration. That formes the cab sound-structure interaction. This paper studies the frequency response characteristics of the cabstructure and interior acoustic cavity coupled system with the excitation from the enginevibration.By establishing and analyzing the modal of the finite element models of the cab, theacoustic cavity and the coupled system.Completing the modal test of the cab at the sametime. Then amending the finite element models after comparing the modal test results to theanalysis results. Obtaining the vibration modes under the frequency after the modalcalculation of the modified model.Analyzing the relationship between the three kinds ofmodel. Determining the engine as one of the excitation sources to the cab vibration,Executing the frequency response analysis based on the completion of the modal analysis, and studying the process of the indoor acoustic environment’s diversification.Byappropriate analysis with the main nodes information extracting from the calculation results, some comments and suggestions will be given to improve the interior acousticcharacteristics.
