| Numerical simulation is utilized as the study method in this paper, the combinations andthe positions of alternating-wedge strut and cavity’s structure combination are centered on byadopting gaseous ethene fuel, which could be supply analyses and instruction for theCombustor of Scramjet’s design.The cavity and strut with better performance are obtained considering before research ofthe combinations. Therefore, the numerical studies of cavity and strut are analysed in the firstpart.Through the study of the influences of combustion chamber flow field by the cavity withdifferent length to depth ratios, the changes of aft ramp angle and the distances of jets. Theresults shows that: the length to depth ratio’s increases can not help to stable cavity flame; theaft ramp angle’s increases not only have little effect on stable flame in recirculation zone ofcavity, but also reduce the combustion efficiency; injection the fuel in the upstream of cavitywall of the combustion chamber, the fuel injection schemes and the influence of jet pressurebe should taken into account comprehensively for choose a best distance between jet hole andcavityBy studying the characteristic of alternating-wedge strut flow field, the influences of thepositions of jet hole and apertures, the alternating-wedge structure is more favorable of thefuel and air mixing can be found. Using alternating-wedge strut to vertical jet, the strut’s sizeis limited, so there is a best position to jet. For an given combustion chamber’s condition,there is a right jet aperture that can mixes the fuel best.Through the studies above, a better performance structure with cavity and strut can befound out. Then, combine the strut and cavity to research the influences of combustionchamber’s performance by different patterns and positions. The result shows that: Theintegration of strut and cavity can exert strut’s mixed enhancement, and the cavity’s functionof stable flame, and high combustion efficiency. In horizontal combinations, entrainment inthe concave cavity recirculation zone is more powerful than that in vertical combinations. Thespread of burning flames can be enhanced in the case that cavity is far away from staggeredrear support plate. The burning efficiency will be improved and the loss of the total pressurewill be decreased. Through the study on the combination positions, the regulations of the influence of combination positions on the combustion chamber’s performance are summarized,and the scheme for a combustion chamber of better performances has been proposed in thepaper. |
