The turbine blade crack will affect the safety of aviation in the aviation industy, so the rigorous testing for aviation turbine blades is needed. As the structure of the turbine blades is more complex, tradition Ultrasonic Non-Destructive Testing can not meet the accuracy requirements of test. We need to find more effective detection methods to detect cracks of turbine blades, which is of important significance to improve the safety of our aviation. In this paper, Ultrasonic Phased Array Testing techniques are used to detect cracks of aviation turbine blade. In this paper, design and improvements parts of the hardware and software of Ultrasonic Phased Array Testing system for nondestructive testing, including the launch of the ultrasonic and the process of echo signal, and wavelet transform for signal processing and design of human-computer interface. Using wavelet transform, improve the relevant time delay estimation, suppress the impact of noise and defect characteristics to time delay estimation. Then theoretical analysis and simulations show that the application of wavelet transform can improve the accuracy and reliability of adaptive focus. Finally, experimental results show that the advantages ultrasonic phased array inspection system, the detecting is more comprehensive and lower errors.
