Vehicle-bridge coupling vibration research for highway bridge is much later than that forrailway bridge, and it is restricted to simple supported beam bridge because of diversification,complication and flexibility of bridge structure and limitation of theory and analysis methodat that time. However, with wide application of finite element, increased research onvehicle-bridge coupling vibration for complex bridge (continues girder bridge, cable-stayedbridge, steel tubular arch bridge, suspension bridge, etc.) can be found, while there is stilllittle study for long-span steel arch bridge with special-shape. And it has important theorysignificance and project application values on vehicle-bridge coupling vibration research forthis type of bridge and calculation for impact coefficient.In the paper, vehicle-bridge system was separated into two subsystems, and vibrationequations for whole vehicle model of7DOF and bridge had been established separately.Based on precise time-integration in Matlab language and existing software Ansys, thevibration equation of vehicle and transient analysis for spatial grillage model could be solved.According to the geometric and mechanical relations between vehicle and bridge, spatialnumerical analysis of vehicle-bridge coupling vibration could be realized. Then, on the basisof the power spectral density function advised by GB/T7031-2005, the value of bridge deckroughness was obtained by Fourier reverse transform. Considering delay of front and rearaxles and correlation between left and right wheels, the roughness sequence of each wheelwas obtained. Finally, by taking whole vehicle model of7DOF and long-span steel archbridge with special-shape as the research objects, the paper analyzed method on coupledvibration of vehicle-bridge for arch bridge and impact coefficients of main beams, arch ribsand suspenders under conditions of vehicle velocity, bridge deck roughness, vehicle lateralposition, and position of vehicles passing each other. Besides, considering the impact of staticwind load, coupled vibration of wind-vehicle-bridge was also analyzed. Analysis results showthat dynamic coefficients of main beams, arch ribs and suspenders are obviously different andlager than the values advised by standard. In addition, static wind load has little effect on thecoupled vibration of vehicle-bridge.Vehicle-bridge coupling vibration for long-span steel arch bridge with special-shape has been realized by the general finite element software, and it has reference valve for this type ofarch bridges to research in related fields.
