Abstract/Summary:
This issue mainly researches KTP material irradiation damage effecton different doses of electron beam irradiation,which was supported byNatural Science Foundation of China(10805001).Irradiation damage problems are very important questions which hadbeen concerned by military aerospace field researchers. Early in the50’s of last century, people have noticed the damage problems on thematerial or electronic components by charged particles which wereproduced in the nuclear reactions, particle accelerator and spaceenvironment of natural irradiation. They have made a lot of importantresearch and applied it to the radiation protection in the spacecraft, butwith regard to nonlinear optical materials’ irradiation damage, itsexperimental study has almost not been reported. Potassium TitaniumOxide Phosphate(KTiOP4,KTP)Crystal is one of the most compellingexcellent optical materials, it has the high nonlinear coefficient, highresistance light hurt threshold, the big photoelectric coefficient, goodthermal stability etc, and it is an essential element of nonlinear field. KTPcrystals are widely used in many fields, such as laser frequencyconversion, parameter concussion, electro-optic modulation, sound andlight modulation, etc.In this paper, we introduce and analyze electron beam irradiation technology, irradiation KTP system, crystal, the principle about opticTimes frequency briefly at first, afterwards we test and analysis timesfrequency characteristics of KTP materials after the different dose ofelectron beam irradiation. The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. We have taken a theory analysis about the basic principles of phasematching technology and the characteristics of the phase matching;2. We design the new irradiation samples experiment equipment, buildthe experimental platform and make frequency doubling experimenton normal KTP crystal, intermittent irradiation KTP crystals andcontinuous irradiation KTP crystals respectively, then we measuredthe chart of Times frequency light with different incident angle.3. By means of comparative study on the different parameters of the KTPcrystal’s frequency double chart, we summarize and analyze theelectron beam irradiation damage effect on the KTP materials.
