The simplest structure form of beam-column T-stub connections is the one that beam and column are connected by bolts and T-sections located on upper flange of girder and under lower flange of girder. It shows that it has simple joint construction and definite force and needs no site welding, the construction period is short and seismic performance is perfit, so its engineering application is extensive. T-stub connections, which is the most rigidly connected type of semi-rigid connections of steel structure, has broader application foreground in steel structure of high-rise building. But those connections, owning diversified construction performance, emerge significantly nonlinearity. In present, research at home and abroad is minor, so the ultimate strength under static loading is to be studied. At first, this article provides a brief introduction about characteristics, research status of T-stub semi-rigid connections research status, then makes designment and completion of5groups T-stub semi-rigid connections’ static load tests and counter-material tests; with complete stress-strain curves of the material test, it finishes numerical simulation of the5groups T-stub semi-rigid connections by the three-dimensional non-linear ABAQUS finite element analysis software, the results of which are correspond to the experiment results. Through experimental results union simulated results, the paper makes analysis and discussion on experimental phenomena and destruction mechanism, then constructs mathematic models of the T-stub semi-rigid connections M-θ constitutive relationship, provides structural system analysis calculation basis. In the end, it makes a supplement of12specimens FEM simulation makes study on influence on joint mechanical properties with the factors including T-stub size, material properties, friction coefficient, bolt pretension, axial loading of column, section size of beam, section size of column, setting transverse rib stiffener on Web of column or not, the bolt number on Flange of T-stub, welding T-stub, diameter of bolt. It obtains some valuable conclusions and has guiding significance to analysis and design of steel beam-to-column T-stub semi-rigid connections.
