For the application of reinforced concrete masonry structure in earthquake zone,the ductility analysis and seismic ductility design methods of reinforced concretemasonry structure are studied in this thesis, the main work carried out goes asfollows: The analysis method of section ductility for reinforced concrete blockmasonry shear walls has been studied systematically, including the numerical analysismethod of section ductility, the estimating formulas of yield curvature of section andthe establishment of the relationship between section moment and curvature,further,the reliability of analysis method of section ductility is proved by experiment. Thenthe analysis method of displacement ductility for reinforced concrete block masonryshear walls has been studied, and the relationship between displacement ductility ratioand curvature ductility ratio is established for reinforced concrete block masonryshear walls, the energy dissipation mechanism and ductility properties of coupledreinforced concrete block masonry shear walls are mainly discussed. Next, based onthe properties of reinforced concrete block masonry, the nonlinear static analysismethod for reinforced concrete block masonry shear walls has been studied, and themulti-vertical-truss-element model is applied to the analysis of reinforced concreteblock masonry shear walls. A program for static nonlinear pushover analysis ofreinforced concrete block masonry shear walls is compiled, and the comparison ofnonlinear time-history analysis and the static pushover analysis are presented by usinga example. It is demonstrate that the pushover analysis is feasible and practical.Finally, the seismic ductility design method of reinforced concrete masonry structurehas been studied, it is discussed that the proper selection of building constructionsystem, the realization of energy dissipation mechanism selected,the determiningmethod of displacement ductility demand, deformation capacity design method of thestructural members. And the implementation steps of seismic ductility design ofreinforced concrete masonry structures are given. Further, an application of seismicductility design method in engineering has been carried by using a example.
