With the development of rail transportation requirements are increasing on the materials of electric locomotives, the pantograph is a key component to provide electricity for the electric locomotive. Therefore, the pantograph materials research has become the hot issue of material areas of concern. Copper matrix composites for its good strength, hardness, good electrical conductivity and anti-friction self-lubricating nature will become the ideal choice for pantograph slide material.In this thesis, by mechanical alloying, carbon fiber surface copper prepared by vacuum hot pressing sintering of carbon fiber reinforced copper matrix composites, and the organizational structure and performance of the material studied by XRD, SEM, TEM, and other means of detection.By mechanical alloying was successfully prepared copper carbon composite powder, copper composite powder particles to nano/submicron composite particles and the form of a single nanometer exist. Carbon in the thin layer-like nanostructures and amorphous forms exist. Determine the optimum parameters of the carbon fiber plating copper (main salt concentration, the plating current and plating time), were successfully prepared by a uniform coating of copper carbon fiber. The sintering of carbon fiber composite samples, a good interfacial bonding. The addition of carbon fiber makes the relative density of the composites increased from84%to92%. Carbon fiber reinforced body near the hardness decreased with increasing distance away from the carbon fiber. Dry friction and wear experiments under the conditions of increasing load, the wear mechanism is adhesive wear by the micro-cutting wearâ†'delamination wearâ†'transition. During the experiment, with no oxidation coupled parts and material transfer. Carbon fiber, reducing the conductivity of the composites, the resistivity increases with increasing temperature.
