Multidisciplinary design optimization techniques to explore and study in this article, and Trinity Marine Heavy davits as the object to the application of multidisciplinary designoptimization techniques. First, the software ISIGHT as a platform for multidisciplinary designoptimization, and application of its powerful integration capabilities and to develop willISIGHT, UG and ANSYS integration in one of the fast-optimized design platform for rapiddesign of the overall performance of the davits. UG software davits parametric modeling, combined with UG strong secondary development function, external pattern of developmentof UG, the executable program design available ISIGHT call UG parameterized modelupdates, and generate igs file for ANSYS analysis. ANSYS analysis based on finite elementtheory, consider the wind load conditions, eight floating davit lifting points in the limits oflocation conditions to carry out the analysis and stability analysis of the statics and obtainedthe stress and displacement deformation. Finally, multi-disciplinary optimization designplatform ISIGHT software integration capabilities, UG and ANSYS integrated together, combined with its own embedded optimization algorithm-the second sequence planningmethod NLPQL hanging davits sectional dimensions as design variables, the deformation ofthe stress and displacement constraints, hanging the davit quality as the objective function fordesign optimization, optimize the premise of quality rather than performance davits have amajor impact. Finally, research in this paper, the optimal design method applied to the Trinity MarineHeavy R&D and manufacturing process, production efficiency is improved by12%, davitswhole weight40T becomes35T. Visible, this method is correct and feasible.
