Research On The Function Space And Urban Space Of Urban Building Complex

As an important part of every city, architecture is bearing people’s behavior and also anexpression form of people. With the developing of human society and updating of citycivilization, the function of architecture is changing constantly. In modern society, city scaleexpanding causes more and more large-scale and mufti-function architectures. Instead ofbeing limited to interior spaces inside the buildings, partial spaces of comprehensive buildinghave been blending in public open spaces and load bearing some city functions. Therefore,urban building complex is the inevitable outcome of the city development.In China, as the scale of the urban construction and development, lots of urban city complexeshave been springing up in big cities. Considering the case, commercial building complex isthe main study object in this paper, and the paper mainly studies developing process, thefunction space and the relationship with city of building complex.Besides introduction and conclusion, there are four chapters in the full text. The main contentdiscusses some core problems in designing of the building complex, which are the basicconcept characteristics and developing process, the organization of functions and spacecomposition, space characteristics of urbanization and the problems arising from the citydocking.The second part of the paper reviews the related concepts, basic features, developmentprocess and trend of urban building complex. The next part mainly studies the two systemswhich are function and space in urban building complex. Because of multifarious functiontype and various spaces in building complex, the paper divided the function into severalcategories, then studied it using method from the whole to the local with the concept ofsystem theory, and analyzed their elements and structure model and the relationship amongthem. In the forth chapter, the paper introduced the urban space characteristics of urbanbuilding complex and the external streamline organization between urban building complexand city docking surrounded. Chapter five demonstrated the building complex space andtheories and methods in the organization function by the examples of domestic andinternational city building complexes.
