The proportion of building energy consumption is growing in our country, and amongthese, the biggest part is air conditioning energy consumption, so the research on airconditioning energy conservation becomes particularly important. The investigation datashows that, in the situation of hotel occupancy rate changing greatly, the traditional fixed aircontrol method is still adopted in the new air conditioning control system, and the new airload has a large percentage of the total load, and thus that is irrational.A new air control strategy is proposed in this paper based on this situation: if hoteloccupancy rate changed, the amount of new air would be consistent with the demand of thattime. A VAV air conditioning technology is used, and the frequency control method isimplemented, in order to save energy. With these characteristics of nonlinear, large delay andetc. in air conditioning control system, the traditional PID control method cannot do well inair conditioning controling, so the fuzzy PID algorithm is introduced to implement thefrequency control of blower. In this paper, the traditional PID algorithm is compared withfuzzy PID algorithm with the simulation tools of Matlab, and using PLC as the core controller,a air conditioning system is designed.The jobs are listed as follows:1. The fuzzy PID algorithm is used to implement the frequency control strategy, and thecomparison between traditional PID algorithm and fuzzy PID algorithm is done using Matlab.2. Based on PLC, the fuzzy PID controller is designed, correspondingly, the logicalcontrol and fuzzy PID algorithm are also worked out to set up the air conditioning controlsystem.3. In the air conditioning system, completing the program of communication between thecomputer and PLC, and the communication between the computer and the temperaturecontrollers.The results of simulation and experience show that, compared with the traditional PIDalgorithm, fuzzy PID algorithm is better at air conditioning controlling, and the controlstrategy proposed in this paper is correct, feasible.
