With the advent of the worldwide energy crisis, energy saving has become the hot spots of the world walks of life, the home appliance industry is no exception. China’s implementation of the air-conditioning system of energy efficiency and " energy-saving products Waste Management Project ","Home appliances to the countryside" policies have not only guided the air conditioner to the direction of "energy saving, environmental protection and efficient", but also promoted the effective force of technological progress in the inverter air conditioner. In Japan and Europe, inverter air conditioner R&D started much earlier, now the market share of close to100%. In our country the R&D started late, and the technology is not very mature, reflecting the core of the compressor drive control dependent on foreign semiconductor manufacturers, intelligent control algorithm was too complex, the variable frequency controller was not universal and the grasp of the key driving control technologies was not enough.The use of PMSM in the inverter air conditioner compressor, is a milestone in the inverter air conditioner in the development process, for it has been greatly improved its efficiency and stability than that of the AC induction compressor. The development of inverter air conditioner compressor-driven technology, become the research focus of each controller manufacturers. Current drive control program based on software algorithms, such as DSP, microcontroller Renesas, Panasonic microcontroller, a hardware platform based programs, such as IR motor control chip, the structure of the controller of the inverter air conditioner is more complex, outdoor control board with control and driver apart costs are higher.This paper first introduces the entire frequency conversion air-conditioning system and describes its peripheral devices, such as fan, electronic expansion valve, DC inverter compressors, etc. And then focuses on the DC inverter compressor motor, and mathematical modeling of PMSM, IRMCF341FOC control algorithm and SVPWM method.The selection of indoor controller Toshiba universal MCU TMP86FH09A as development platform, and outdoor selection of International Rectifier (IR) for permanent magnet synchronous motor drive control chip IRMCF341, outdoor veneer single-chip control program. Design of indoor and outdoor control of each unit of hardware schematic, and gives the main function and flow charts.The situation with PMSM started or running at low speed, position detection method can not be put to good use to locate the rotor, so it requires the use of a special way to start. This article analyzes and compares two different compressor starts.
