Along with the rapid development of the industrialization and commercializationof city, urban construction land is more and more nervous, the using function of somebuilt structures can not meet the demand of urbanization, need to expand their function.In this case, the story-adding and upgrading of existing building structures is a verygood means of expanding their using function, it is an important form of the buildingreusing, and it can solve all kinds of problems which appear in the urbandevelopment.Because of the wide application on Reinforced concrete frame structure in ourcountry,the story-adding and upgrading on this structure has been more and more wide.but the lateral stiffness of the structure with story-adding is very small,the story driftangle in the earthquake effect is difficult to satisfy the requirements of ConstructionStructure Seismic Code.So Seismic strengthening on RC Frames For BuildingReconstruction With Storey-adding is quite necessary. In order to solve this problem,This paper is studied for RC frame with storey-adding and provides a design process ofthe buckling-restrained braces to meet the elastic displacement angle limitation. andthrough the changing of adding layers, try to find out the general deformation law ofreinforced concrete frame structure with layer in the earthquake effect.The several analyses have done:1、The proper provides a design process of the buckling-restrained braces on RCframe structure which is stiffness-insufficient for storey-adding to meet the elasticdisplacement angle limitation.2、The elastic time history analysis of the original construction was carried out firstby using software ANSYS to input El-Centro seismic wave and TAFT seismic wave.3、 The elastic time history analysis of the construction with differentstorey-adding was carried out in the case of common and uncommon seismic action,The buckling restraining braces were installed in those building storeys where thestory drift angle between two storeys did not agree with the norms. Finally, the entireconstruction was checked again for the case of common and uncommon seismic action.4、Comparate the results of the time history analysis on the construction withdifferent storey-adding, try to find out the general deformation law of reinforcedconcrete frame structure with layer in the earthquake effect.The results show that: According to providing a design process of the bucklingrestrained braces on RC frame structure which is stiffness-insufficient, the story drift angle of the RC frame with buckling-restrained braces meet the elastic displacementangle limitation, and the BRB can dissipate earthquake energy fully. According toComparating the results of the time history analysis on the construction with differentstorey-adding, and find out the general deformation law of reinforced concrete framestructure with layer in the earthquake effect. And it provides referential basis forstory-adding and seismic design of the structure. The research content and results ofthis paper provide a certain theoretical and practical significance for the application ofBRB in the structure with story-adding and upgrading.
