The creation of PV building brings us a new way to solve energy crisis for our country with huge amount of population. This invention makes residence which is traditionally known as the consumer of energy firstly becomes the producer of it. However, when photovoltaic power generation technology finds its new place to apply——building, it brings problems for both part. What standard should be obeyed when PV building is designed? What kind of design method could ensure both the safety, economy, usability and durability of building and the power generating system to work normally at the same time? This thesis is composed under such a background when no special standard for PV building exists in China, so different calculating methods and theory that is now being used is compared, following this work problems in these methods are indicated and possible solution is proposed.This thesis firstly induces the background of the invention of PV building, ways it can be applied as well as how the PV system composes. Them it analyses the problems of PV building and the reason why PV building makes sense now. The design procedure of PV building which is commonly adapted is briefly introduced. Before it goes into the detail of every step of design, the fundamental problem of designing a PV building——radiation analysis is discussed. By comparing several different calculating models, the thesis finds the best one, and by using this model, the result for some cities has been found. Finally, the validity of the model is confirmed by an experiment.After the former work, the design method for PV panel, suspending system, and connecting is analyzed for their widely used categories, loads they bares and calculating models.At last, a real design for "GUANGXI FUNV ERTONG hospital" is carried out is the Chapter6, and a discussion is done with the result of this design before the final conclusion is reached.
