As one of the important power sources, the electric energy is essential formodern social production and people’s lives; the use of which usually reflects thenational developmental level. In recent years, the rapid development of powerelectronics technology, and the widely use of some nonlinear electrical equipments,especially in low voltage distribution network, cause the harmonic issues in electricdistribution grid, lower the power supply quality, and even affect the safety andstability operation of the electrical equipments.With the background of grid harmonic issue in a large Copper Co., Ltd, HeFei,the paper aims at studying on a power quality control device to suppress theharmonics in low voltage distribution network, which combines the passive filter withactive filter, taking the advantage of passive filter low-cost, simple structure, andusing the active filter to achieve harmonic current real-time tracking and dynamicsuppression; as a result of multiple harmonics suppression at the same time; so thisequipment improves the power quality of low-voltage distribution network greatly.Firstly, the causes of harmonics in low voltage distribution network is presented,the disadvantages of harmonic current and the significance of harmonic suppressionare analyzed; the methods of harmonic suppression both here and abroad arecompared, mainly described the development of the power filter.Secondly, the application in high pressure side of the series spoon-feed mixedactive filter (SIHAPF) the main circuit of topological structure of the system and thebasic principle, the modeling and device compensation characteristic analysis, andanalyses the two different testing methods and no difference take control method, andfrom the system overall scheme, the circuit parameters, digital control system,harmonic analysis subsystem and so on four aspects of system design, for the practicalapplication of engineering to lay a good foundation are introduced.Third, the enterprise with use of power station integrated automation systembackground is introduced, and also automation system of the key technology:hierarchical and distributed structure and middleware technology, etc. The analysis inthe light of the integrated automation system into power quality management based onthe necessity of the equipment. In power quality management equipment into theproblem of integrated automation system, the paper introduces the database framework, and discussed the merged into the database at the solution. Thenincorporated into involved in the problem of communication between the client, theserial communication, OPC technology and CORBA techniques are studied.Fourth, in SIHAPF the theoretical analysis and engineering applicationtechnology research, and on the basis of SIHAPF is put forward based on the powerquality monitoring and management of the whole integrated system solutions, and onsite installation and debugging, to the electric power quality dynamic managementimplementation plan of passive and active part points are introduced, and gives thefield application of rendering put into operation, proved the rationality and validitysolutions.Finally, it has been proved that the proposed design effectively can reduce thegrid current distortion rate and improve the power factor; the device is low-cost, easyto protect, and stable in operation, which brings the significant economic and socialbenefits to the enterprise. At the same time the design ideas and engineeringexperience are useful references for the practical process of the grid active powerfilter for low voltage distribution.
