The stability, deformation of rock mass are of great importance for the construction of underground crude oil storage caverns with the containment of groundwater. To seal oil storage project in China’s first large lining groundwater as the background, the use of elastic-plastic theory, on the basis of indoor rock triaxial tests to study the large unlined granite strata groundwater seal oil cavern rock integrity parameterssensitivity as well as deformation and stability.Triaxial compression tests have been performed to determine the properties of the rock mass around a pilot underground crude oil storage caverns. The integrity, deformation and strength of the rock mass are assessed using elastoplastic theory.Construction of roadway and water curtain tunnel deformation is closely related to the section location and the surrounding rock grade; displacement meter deformation monitoring to determine the relationship of rock displacement variation with depth; vault settlement, the gradual release of the excavation face space constraint effect closelyrelated.Underground crude oil storage caverns is the use of water-saturated rock seal oil storage, keep the surrounding rock integrity of the construction of underground water seal oil cavern has a crucial role. Surrounding Rock loosening the scope and extent of the sensitivity of the friction angle is greater than the sensitivity of the dilatancy angle; cavern wall stress distribution changes in the sensitivity of friction angle is greater than the sensitivity of the dilatancy angle; vault settlement the sensitivity of friction angle is greater than the sensitivity of the dilatancy angle, horizontal convergence are sensitive to the friction angle and dilatancy angle.Typical conditions, forecast the largest cavern vault settlement value of44.6mm, the maximum level of convergence to a value of43.7mm. The research results provide an important basis for underground oil caverns surrounding rock integrity evaluation, and the water seal system design.
