RGL (rod control&rod position measurement system) is a important system inPWR (pressure water reactor), this system is mainly used to drive the rise and fall ofthe Rod,also detect and monitor the position of each beam Rod in the reactor core.Bymovement control and position adjustment of rod,to realize the reactor power fastadjustment and emergency shut-down reactor in special situations, guarantee thestable, safe operation of nuclear reactions. This paper takes rod measurement systemof RGL as subject of design and research, focusing on analysis and research ofworking principle of rod position detector and rod position signal processing.Basing on electronic circuit technique and analysis signal processing, combiningwith rod position electrical output characteristics, through the way of using A/D anddigital system design, to design and analysis no compensation coil rod positionmeasurement system. Introduce the new, no compensation coil, single encoding barrod position detector’s structure and working principle, and compare with traditionalrod position detector about structure, stability, functionality and others, prove theadvantage and good prospects of the new rod position detector. Research the methodanalyzing and designing output signal of the new rod position detector, based on it, todesign and research the hardware structure and software achieved of total rod positionmeasurement system, complete the each part electrical schematic design of rodposition measurement system, software simulate of functionality module andhardware debug, and functionality test and stability test of total system.This rod position measurement system taking no compensation coil, singleencoding bar, inductance digital rod position detector which is designed by Nuclearand New Energy Technology Research Institute of Tsinghua University can be used todetect the built-in rod, can solve large volume, step long, structure complex,anti-interference ability poor and other problems of coil encoding digital rod positionmeasurement system widely used in PWR; This rod position measurement system is different from common measurement system in domestic and external on measuringprinciple and method, with independent intellectual property rights, and belong toinnovative design.
