The construction of lengthy highway tunnel is different from other projects construction.Both for design and construction, it is being affected by the complex geological conditions.The mutation and uncertainty of geological conditions bring great harm to construction safety.For the dynamic construction and design, how to master the rock deformation, strengthen thesupporting and monitoring, determine the geological conditions ahead and further choose areasonable excavation method, to ensure construction safety, economical and reasonablemanner is a question worthy of further exploration.In this paper, the engineering background is Yuanyanghui highway tunnel construction. Itwill analysis the security and stability of surrounding rock of tunnel construction from thecontrol measurements, geological prediction and micro-seismic monitoring, feedbackmonitoring information, determine the stability of surrounding rock. Meanwhile, it willsimulate the loess surrounding rock excavation of the tunnel exit by three-dimensional finiteelement analysis software, contrast and analysis the variation of tunnel surrounding rockdisplacement of the different construction methods under different depths.(1)Based on monitoring feedback, using the method of regression analysis, to analysisthe deformation law of the dome subsidence and deformation of the surrounding convergenceof soft rock tunnel. Establish the warning and alarm system of the rock deformation ofYuanyanghui tunnel.(2)The situation of the working face in front of the rock is forecasted by using theadvanced forecasting method of geological sketch and ground penetrating radar. On this basis,we determine the stability of surrounding rock in front of the construction. Propose themethod which is used to deal with the original GPR image by using digital filtering.Meanwhile, it will have some reference to analysis and determine, adverse geologicalconditions arise for the similar projects in the future.(3)It briefly describes the micro-seismic monitoring system works, composition,structure and function. With the actual characteristics of the project, developing amicro-seismic monitoring system’s overall design of highway tunnel, propose a method tomeasure micro-seismic velocity by using calibration blasting. we get seismic wavepropagation speed of2.116m/ms of the tunnel area. we use the monitoring system to monitorthe surrounding rock fracture activities of tunnel construction in real-time, accurately locatethe micro-seismic events. we get a more accurate monitoring result by compare with usingGPR to monitor the area which occur micro-seismic events. (4)The excavated and supporting model of the loess surrounding rock of Yuanyanghuitunnel exit is established by MIDAS/GTS finite element analysis software, analysisthree-dimensional numerical simulation. Combined with the measured field data, we get thedisplacement variation of the curved guide hole and double-wall guide pit method which isunder different depths with different construction methods. It provides a theoretical basis forthe selection of the best construction methods.
