Abstract/Summary:
Electricity Consumption Monitoring is an important technical in detecting indicators and planning power management. A power applying monitoring system based on WSN (wireless sensor networks) is designed in this paper. In this system, users can easily query the status of their electricity. So the transparency of electricity metering and the users’ energy-saving awareness would be improved. The practice of power peak load shifting would be much easier. This research has broad application prospects and development.This paper presents the design of electricity consumption monitoring system based on WSN. The analysis of function in monitor terminal and WSN gateway and the selection of some important chips have been given. Also, the work process of this system has been designed. Around EM773and STM32F107, the master control chip, the hardware circuit of modules in power monitoring terminal and WSN gateway is designed in detail. Furthermore, specific configuration of EM773’s firmware and metering engine is given. Studied EZMac communication protocols, the improvement based on time division multiplexing (TDM) is proposed. Configuration about the protocols on Si4432is also given. In addition, the communication process and message structure of electricity consumption monitoring business in this system is designed. The third-part TCP/IP protocol, LwIP, based on μC/OS-II real-time operation system is transplanted in soft design of the WSN gateway. Layered design of the protocol conversion in WSN gateway, which contains Ethernet communications based on USB interface and data packets conversion between UDP and EZMac, is proposed.
