Voltage stability as an important part of power system stability, is a research focus for many scholars. At first voltage problem research mainly aims at the pure AC transmission system, the emergement of HVDC and AC/DC hybrid transmission system is a new challenge for power system voltage stability research. The voltage stability and DC power modulation strategies for UHV AC/DC hybrid power system is studied in this paper. A series of research have been done on the basis of the UHV AC/DC power transmission project of jiangxi grid. First, existing AC and DC system voltage stability static analysis and dynamic analysis methods are introduced, and the advantages and disadvantages of these methods are summarized. Based on the2016Planning data of Jiangxi grid, primary parameters of Mengxi-Jiangxi±800kV HVDC transmission system are calculated, and Mengxi-Jiangxi HVDC system and AC system of Jiangxi grid are modeled in BPA. Suitable methods are adopted and simulation analysis of static voltage stability and dynamic voltage stability of converter bus have been analyzed in BPA. Converter bus dynamic voltage instability are caused by several serious failures. Various DC power modulation strategies are studied to voltage fluctuation caused by various fault. The DC power modulation strategy is determined the2016Planning grid of Jiangxi.
