Along with the industry continuously improve the technical level, high efficiency, low cost design gradually attention, CAD technology, virtual prototype technology to accelerate the development of the industrial design of high efficiency low cost increase, the trend of the times. Parametric design is an important part of CAD technology, parametric design idea, radically reducing the design staff and working intensity, reduce the number of design personnel in the design, calculation, drawing on the duplication of work, improve the efficiency of product development; the same virtual prototype as a product development approach, can help the designer in the physical prototype was completed before the production can be carried out a simulation test, help designers to quickly identify and correct product design flaws, can also shorten the development cycle, reduce development cost at the same time, improve product performance.Based on the parametric design and virtual prototype technology, and based on the theoretical knowledge of the query, based on the known parameters of automotive transmission parts of the design, and the calculation process through the Visual C#language procedures for processing, and through the CATIA module for transmission assembly, part of the position relation of related constraint by using the Visual C#language interactive interface, the operation program into CATIA parameters the data in the table are modified, which only need according to the correlation of the parameters of the entire vehicle, can realize the transmission parts rapid reconstruction; and the generated transmission model into ADAMS, on the model of the dynamics and kinematics simulation, research design of rationality and validity.
