In this paper, the feature of laying continuous welded rail on sharp curve was analyzed. Based on TB2034-88and TB2098-89, the maximum rail temperature magnitude of laying continuous welded rail were calculated for standard rail structure and enhanced structure on R≤300m curve according to track stability and strength. The feasibility of laying continuous welded rail on R≤300m curve in Hemalin-Beikaizhu region was verified, the measure to enhance rail structure was put forward.Through the calculation of stability and strength on R<300m curve, analysis the calculation results of the standard track structure. Field study of laying continuous welded rail on R≤300m curve, detailed survey the common diseases of the small radius curve location, and adopted the corresponding countermeasure after analyzed synthetically. To combine the practical experience of Hemalin-Beikaizhu small radius curve continuous welded rail, in connection with the feature of small radius curve track, summarized a set of effectual method to maintain the track, used some strengthening measures on lines to reduce the insecure factors of small radius curve and ensured the enhancement of line facility’s quality. This paper also provided the basis and reference for the small radius curve line’s daily maintenance, reduction of workload, enhancement of labor efficiency and reduction of maintenance cost.
