| With the quick development of industrialization and urbanization, urban life environment is deteriorating, air pollution, noise pollution, water pollution, acid rain, sandstorm and other environmental problems is becoming more and more serious. People who live in the city not only have to face to the great psychological pressure, but also have to face to the health threat from the bad environment. So, people need lots of urban green space to improve the living environment and relieve stress urgently.Urban park, as an important part of urban green space, not only purifies the air, conservates the soil and water, protects the environment, improves economic benefits, but also acts as modern people’s spiritual shelter, and works as a main place for leisure, entertainment, social communication and so on. Both at home and abroad, the city park plays an important part in city construction.Based on the important role of urban park at home and abroad in recent years, the study on urban park increases gradually, but study on the post occupancy evaluation (POE) in urban park is relatively few. Therefore, this paper take the theory of the mental patterns and behavior characteristics as foundation.has a study on the post occupancy evaluation (POE) in Chengdu urban park, takes the Large Landscaped Recreation Parks--Xinhua park and Baihuatan park as case. and does a deep research on the post occupancy evaluation (POE) in the two parks. In the actual investigation, the paper uses the method of POE. analysises the actual using situation in every functional areas of the two parks from three aspects--users, managers and park defenders, gives some advice in modification, and takes the comprehensive evaluation in overall using situation of the two parks. Finally, this article takes a contrast analysis between the POE of the Xinhua park and the Baihuatan park, summarizes the impact in the post occupancy evaluation (POE) in urban park, and put forward the current problems in urban park of Chengdu and corresponding optimization proposal. I hope the article can provide some reference on the construction of the new urban park and the reform of the old urban park in the future. |
