The Study Of Water Supply Strategy Of Nanjing Tap Water Company Based On Urban Water Demand Forecasting

With the development of society and economy, the urbanization is accelerating, the urban water demand is increasing, the situation of water shortage is also increasingly serious.How to develop and use the urban water resource, provide quality water supply service, support sustainable economic development and sustainable improvement of people’s living standards are the important issues in front of the water supply enterprises. To solve this problem, water supply enterprises should do the urban water demand forecasting based on the overall urban planning and the prospects for urban economic development, combined with the local available water resources for exploitation. Water supply enterprises should do the water supply strategy which is rational, scientific and actual to meet urban water demand in the future.In this paper, Nanjing Tap Water Company is the research object.First, this paper analyze the water demand in detail. On the base of survey, this paper forecast the future water demand of Nanjing City scientifically via index method and data model. Secondly, on the base of water supply situation and water demand forecast result, this paper does a scientific analysis of water supply-demand balance. Finally, combined with the actual water supply capacity of Nanjing Tap Water Company, the water resource in Nanjing and the overall urban planning, this paper develops a water supply strategy which is practical, feasible, and scientific. The result of the strategy is extending the five existing water factories to meet the long-term water demand of Nanjing.On the base of urban water demand forecasting and water supply strategy, the water supply business of Nanjing Tap Water Company will have a new development.Nanjing Tap Water Company will continue to provide clean, safe, high-quality tap water to support the development of society and economy of Nanjing.
