In contemporary world, industry is playing a leading role in the development of nation economy. Land is the base of development of industry as well as the carrier of terrestrial ecosystems. Large-scale developing of manufacturing land inevitably causes transformation of local terrestrial ecosystems type, which would lead to change of ecosystem service and ecological value. Human being will be consequently suffered from natural disaster because overexploitations are exceeding ecosystems carrying capacity. The relationship between human wellbeing and natural ecosystems, including service, forcing, response and construction, has been drawing more attention in the research fields of sustainable development of city.In this context, the research and construction of eco-industrial parks has been more and more attention. At present, researches on eco-industrial parks focuses on minimizing environmental pollution, establishing evaluation index system and comprehensively evaluating eco-industrial parks. From view of planning, ecosystem theories rarely are applied to eco-industrial parks design. Depending on ecosystem theory, this paper aims to do the comparative study on industrial concentration district planning in Hui County, and then provide planning framework and recommendations for subsequent industrial concentration district planning.Due to relatively fragile ecological environment, it is worth emphasizing the integration of the economic, social and ecological results during developing industry in the northwest of China. The object of study is the industrial concentration district in Hui County, Longnan City, Gansu Province. According to data of land use change in2000and it of land use planning in2009, this paper intends to analyze the changes of the value of ecosystem services and the carbon emissions caused by altered land use. The conclusions are:1) the original semi-artificial ecosystem has converted into the artificial ecosystem after land use changes;2) the original natural ecosystem functions badly lost;3) the values of ecosystem services sharply reduced, and4) carbon emissions rapidly increased with significant effects of ecological negative spillover. Based on security pattern of this district, this study contributes to adjusting planning and redefining spatial pattern of industrial concentration district through ecosystem theory application and ecological suitability analysis. In the end, by means of comparing the planning before and after adjusting, this paper provides general perspectives for industrial concentration district planning based on ecosystem theory.
