With the rapid development of the global economy, the city size of all thecountries expands constantly, at the same time a huge amount of the cargoes andpassengers need to be transported. So the rail traffic which has fast speed, largecapacity and low consumption of fuel develops faster and faster. Rail transportationnot only plays an important improving role in politics and economy field in themodern society, but also it benefits the environment protection as it drives by theelectric energy. At present, the construction of modern rail transit is at a stage of rapiddevelopment, which has a long term planning objectives and the broad developmentprospects in China. The key target of the construction is to build the high-speedrailway. As everyone knows the high-speed railway has brought great convenience toindustrial production and our daily life, but we also should know that there are stillmany problems in high speed railway. The first one is how to solve the problem thatthe fatigue reliability of rail vehicle components is declining as long as the speedincreasing. The statistics from the actual operation and the results of simulationexperiment show that the high speed vehicle power transmission system is one of themost important and easily damaged parts on a high-speed train. It provides the powerfor the whole vehicle and transfers the driving torque from the motor to the axlesmoothly. Due to the transmission system is connected directly to the wheel system,its work environment is very bad. It always endures irregularity vibration and variousloading from the rail and wheel system when it works. Especially when the roadconditions is very poor and the line condition is complex, there are vibrations withhigh frequency and amplitude, meanwhile the transmission system parts are rigidstructure, so after a long time of vibration the power transmission system of highspeed train will become fatigue failure. Once the power transmission system isdamaged, it will cause huge hindrance, maybe the big traffic accident further.Combining with a research project" Research on reliability and fatigue failuretest method of high speed train transmission system" which is authorized by a railwayvehicle company, we tried our best to solve the fatigue problem. The high speed traintransmission system is as the research objects, we research and develop the reliabilitytesting equipment of the high speed train transmission system. This testing equipmentnot only can simulate all kinds of load from all directions which are contributing inthe actual operation., but also can achieve the transmission system reliability test, thedriving motor reliability test and gear box reliability test. This paper first summarizesthe development and the research status of rail vehicle fatigue reliability theory, then introduces different kinds of testing equipments which are all aiming at the reliabilityof rail vehicle parts and the whole vehicles. Second it analysis on the fatigueproperties of high speed train transmission system, and focuses on the loadingcondition when the high speed train runs in the railroad in the second chapter, thensummarizes the typical track spectrum of some countries. According to the Germanhigh speed track spectrum, we simulate its vibration modal which is as a reference forthe control system of high speed train transmission system reliability testingequipment. Third, this paper elaborates the design thoughts of high speed traintransmission system reliability testing equipment, and introduces the mechanicalstructure, electrical system and hydraulic system of the equipment. Finally, it focuseson researching the vibration beam assembly which is the core part of testingequipment. In short, the paper includes following two points: First, uses the inversealgorithm of motion displacement solution to calculate the hydraulic cylinderelongation, velocity and acceleration, then analysis the kinematics of the vibrationbeam assembly by using the Matlab and ADAMS software to obtain elongationcurves, velocity curves and acceleration curves of the three hydraulic cylinders.Second, use the SolidWorks software to establish the model of the vibration beamassembly, then use the AnsysWorkbench software to achieve the finite elementanalysis, the static analysis and modal analysis for it. These works in the paper makethe foundation for the further research of the high speed train transmission systemreliability testing equipment.
