A national railway technology development level is highly associated with the construction of its high-speed railways. High-speed railways are one of the important national infrastructures with the rapid development of national economic construction. Most of high-speed railways were appeared in the form of bridges. Thus inspection and maintenance of railway bridges became a top priority with the rapid increase of the high-speed railway mileage. Traditional railway bridge inspection vehicle was unable to meet the operating needs of high-speed railway bridge detection because sidewalk was removed. A new bridge inspection vehicle designing was put forward in this dissertation for the high-speed railways. The correctness and effectiveness of our designing was finally validated through simulation and test.Based on virtual prototype technology and theoretical calculation, this dissertation focused on researches as follows.(1) Designing of the overall structure of vehicle, working devices and the detection platform and the selection and calculation of the power equipment.(2) Three-dimensional geometric models on the bases of the designing scheme were built by SolidWorks.(3) Curves of the vehicle center in different kinds of situations of bypassing the pier were got by simulations using dynamics analysis software ADAMS. Then factors affected the smooth nature of the driving force were gained and the designing of the components were optimized.(4) A basis material to avoid detection vehicles resonance was gained based on static analysis of oriented beam and the modal analysis of the truss structure. Results showed that our designing of the bridge inspection vehicle could meet the requirement of bridge test and maintenance. Kinematics simulation results showed that the bridge inspection vehicle could avoid slipping in working process to achieve its safety requirements. Finite element analysis showed that our designing of key components could meet the strength requirements under different conditions and the modal analysis provided the basis to avoid resonance. In conclusion, this dissertation provided a reference for the manufacture of physical prototype and the designing of bridge inspection vehicles.
