Preliminary Study On Significance Of Landscape Architecture Thoughts To Urban Design

Urban design focusing on the integral city, is three-dimensional space design about the function layout and space form of the city. Its goal is to create pleasant public space environment for city residents. With urban design as the research object, this paper inspired by the theory of Landscape Urbanism and combined with the theory of landscape architecture. By access to a large number of literatures, theoretical studies and project practices, this paper discussed the relationship between urban design and landscape architecture, summarized the practical significance of landscape architecture thoughts to urban design. This paper mainly divided into the following three parts:First of all, In this paper it expounded the concepts and theory trends of urban design, summarized developments and achievements of the theory and practice in China, discussed and reflected the problems of urban design in our country.Secondly, it explored the concepts and viewpoints of the new landscape urbanism theory, in the view of the problems of the modern urban design theory. This theory provided new ideas and methods for the development of urban design, and was applied in practice projects.Finally, combining the practice projects, it summed up experiences, and according to city design and landscape architecture discipline integration design, putted forward the study in the related fields to the future.
