Due to the smooth lines of its arch rib, beautiful view and open field ofvision,concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge without bracing becomespopular in the bridge engineering world in recent years. This type of bridgesis also favored in the transport sector in China, especially widely used inthe city bridge which pays great attention to the beautiful appearance.However,because of its wide deck rib, no brace is set in this arch bridge,thus,its lateral stiffness is relatively small and lateral stability need aspecial attention.Taking a concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge without bracing ofS324 in provincial highway as an example, firstly,the static performance onthe bridge is analysed;Secondly,a study of measurement and adjustment ofthe suspender cable tension is developed in this thesis; Lastly,the stability iscalculated and related parameters are analysed about the concrete-filledsteel tube arch bridge without bracing by using common softwareMidas/Civil. The main task and final conclusions of this thesis are asfollows:1.The construction process of this bridge is described,the monitoringof the process is studied,the construction stages is analysed and calculatedby software Midas/Civil,putting emphasis up on construction bracket.2.By comparison, a test method which is used in the suspender cabletension of the arch bridge is determined. By studying the interactionbetween the cable force in the process of the suspender tension and thetheory of the adjustment of cable tension,an influence matrix which is basedon initial tension and a single tension to the finished bridge state isdeduced,then,putting it into the Matlab solving program for calculating,thesuspension cable tension guided the construction is calculated. Thereliability of theoretical calculation is proved by the analysis of themeasured and theoretical values.3.The basic classification of the stability is introduced, the balanceinstability criterion, the FEA(Finite element analysis) calculation methodabout stability, the form and the calculated method of the instability of thearch bridge are summarized.A analysis model about stability is built using FEA software,the effect of the stiffness of the main structure,the boundarycondition and increasing the bracing to the stability are discussed, arelatively better structure form of concrete-filled steel tube arch bridgewithout bracing is given in this thesis....
