ABSTRACT:Beijing Jiaotong University wind tunnel is a duplex flow wind tunnel. After the completion of the wind tunnel, we calibrate the wind speed uniformity and wind direction by using the anemometer and electronic pressure scanner and verify the wind tunnel flow field quality has achieved the design requirements. Put the passive devices inside the test section in order to simulate the wind field conditions required by the wind tunnel test. For this purpose, this paper studies the design and fabrication of the spires and roughness elements, and they are introduced into the wind tunnel for the simulation of the atmospheric boundary layer. We fit out the wind velocity profiles and the turbulence intensity profiles by using the data, through comparing the China norm and Japan norm, we got the sizes and the arrangements of the passive devices, such as the amount of scotch taps, the angle of spire wing and the baffle. In the commissioning process, we get the effects of the passive devices to the wind field characteristics. There is some reference value to the other type of atmospheric boundary layer wind tunnel.
