Wu Traditional Patterns Of Semantic Expession In Modern Room Research And Application Of Interior Design

Traditional pattern of wu culture is the accumulation of the essence of culture and an important carrier in area of wu (Jiangsu area). Country wu, which is one of the five strongest countries during the spring and autumn period, is the birthplace of wu culture. strong culture and advanced building technology contributed to the rich semantic decorative motifs. Influenced by the main production level at that time, Wu culture also turn to the symbol decoration in the selection of decors, that is the most direct adornment language. After one thousand years of evolution, Flensed by Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism and traditional customs, traditional patterns of wu have gradually formed a variety of form with rich language, flexible technique and semantic features which is widely used.Along with the widely using of traditional pattern in the modern interior design, wu culture, an important part of Chinese traditional culture, has been more and more get used in the modern interior design. People can accept all sorts of adornment style a lot. At this time, how to inherit and develop the traditional wu pattern, and apply it in interior space design to create space which can show regional cultural features is one of the important research directions of indoor design at present. Wu traditional motifs is lively, open and independent, it tries to study and inherit Chinese culture and strive to innovation, keeping his own characteristics in the cultural fusion, which has a deeply influence on the Changjiang river to the grain and culture .Wu traditional comprehensively applies lines will symbol, the moral, match, table number, harmonics and text expression to the grain, and it apply the rich and profound significance of patterns to the interior decoration and design of the garden. This paper tries to innovate on the basis of understand and inheritance the traditional pattern of wu.Comprehensively analysising the traditional pattern of wu culture from the Angle of semantic, meaning, symbols and materials. Reasonable fusion the traditional patterns with modern design, finding a suitable place for traditional patterns in modern indoor design. Firstly, This paper summarizes the development of the traditional pattern grain history and current situation, and traditional forms of pattern. Secondly, It makes a comprehensive analysis and summary of the traditional pattern of wu culture’s language expressions, and basing on this, making full use of the traditional patterns in the modern interior decoration design. And it provides the theory basis for traditional patterns applied in the modern interior decoration and shows the national culture wealth, classical decorative motifs in modern interior space design.
