New building materials and construction technique has been widely used in modern building with the advancing of science and technology. Long-span spatial structure can provide the graceful shapes and large inner space without inner column, due to these capacities, the long-span spatial structure is adopted as the structure form of the public buildings more and more by the architects, such as the railway station, the stadium, the airport, the exhibition building and so on. Because of the long-span spatial structure with the structure characteristic such as the light weight,large flexibility and obvious structural nonlinear, etc, it’s very sensitive to the wind loads. Although the wind loads is the main control load of the long-span structure, the designers can not get the wind loads from the load code because of the variety shapes, so it’s very important to study on the wind loads of the long-span structure.ChongQing Western International Conference and Exhibition Center-the research object of the thesis, is not only a normal long-span building, but also its roof is a piece of ventilated tense grid. The traditional pressure measurement tests in the wind tunnel is not suitable to the grid, so the pressure measurement test and the force measurement test have been conducted respectively with two kinds of model.In the pressure measurement test, the wind pressure coefficient of the roof is calculated by using the test data under various wind directions, and the law of the wind pressure distribution is studied and described. Then the finite element model is built with the structure analysis soft ANSYS, wind-induced response analysis is performed by the time domain analysis method and the gust loading factor of displacement is obtained and analysed. Further more, the equivalent wind loads is obtained as the reference for the structure design.In the force measurement test, the mean aerodynamic force coefficient under various wind directions was obtained from the test data. Because the roof surface is almost a plane, the lift coefficient is adopted as the shape coefficient of the structure. The equivalent wind loads from the force measurement test is to contrast with the load from the pressure measurement test, which also can be the reference for the structure design.The force measurement test on studying the wind loads on the long-span roof has very important reference value. The tense grid roof which is difficult to obtain the wind loads by the pressure measurement test is tested by using the other method, and there is high feasibility and credibility in the test method through the comparison, the similar structure can also adopt the test to obtain the wind loads.
