South-north Water Transfer project is put forward in the background of promoting sustainable development of the socio-economic and ecological environment and addressing the north-south uneven distribution of water resources. As a tool for conveying water resources, large span steel tube filled with concrete water aqueduct arch bridge structure is widely used in the South-north Water Transfer project. However, the interaction of the soil and pile of the large-span arch bridge structure is so complex when using large diameter piles. In this paper, the MIDAS finite element software is used to analyze the force characteristics of the large span steel tube filled with concrete water aqueduct arch bridge structure in Xidu Village Yuncheng Yellow River when considering the interaction of the soil and pile. Further, the mechanical characteristics of the bridge pile foundation are also analyzed.(â… ) The mechanical characteristics of the arch bridge structure are comparatively analyzed when considering and not considering the interaction of the pile and soil. It is concluded that the foundation soil shares some of the upper load, so it affects the mechanical characteristics of the arch bridge structure when considering the interaction of pile and soil. On the basis of the anlysis above, it should be considered the interaction of pile and soil in the structure design for the pile foundation large span arch bridge structure.(â…¡) The mechanical characteristics of the arch bridge structure are investigated under all the load combination conditions when considering the interaction of the pile and soil. It is indicated that not only the structure various performances meet the code requirement under the most unfavorable condition of all the load combination conditions but also the aqueduct structure have enough security reserves.(â…¢) The pile foundation of the arch bridge structure is studied under the combined action of level load, vertical load and bending moment. The bending deformation value, internal force value and soil resistance value of the pile side at any buried deepth of pile body are acquired under the horizontal load on the structure. Besides, the bending moment figure of pile body, shear figure and soil resistance figure of pile side are also drawed. Further, the vertical and horizontal bearing capacity of pile foundation is validated.(â…£) The deformation and stress of the arch bridge pile foundation are compatively reserched in the maximum horizontal and vertical force and the maximum bending moment conditions. The results are obtained that the displacement and stress are the biggest when the pile foundation of the arch bridge bears the maximum horizontal forces. Thus it should pay more attention to the horizontal load in the pile foundation design.(â…¤) Comparing the mechanical characteristics of pile foundation and bridge pier foundation, the conclusions show that the pier horizontal displacement and the tension and compression stress of bridge foundation pier are smaller than the one of the pile foundation when under the same load and boundary conditions. However, like the pile foundation, it is also necessary to configure a certain number of reinforcement to meet the concrete tensile stress requirements when using pier foundation. |
