Along with the vigorous development of the construction industry, in our country, thenumber of skyscrapers increases in the exponential curve. In the terms of development’s trend,it seems that the constructions’ height is getting higher and higher, and the constructions’ depthis becoming more and more deeply. These factors put forward many serve challenges with theslope engineering of foundation. Slope engineering’ instability caused by landslide or collapseis a serious global natural disasters, which is second only to the earthquake in the geologicaldisasters. It often destroys constructions, causes traffic jams and casualties, and brings greatharm to the ecological environment and engineering constructions. What is more, it causes in-estimable economic losses by the way.The factors of landslide are very variously, the most common factors of landslide are rainwater and earthquake. During the excavation of the base pit, sometimes it will produce pondingin the base pit. There are various reasons to cause the ponding, such as the penetration of sur-face water, raininess, the exudation of soil moisture, the exudation of confined water under thebasement and the micro-tonnage of pumping equipment, etc. The soil severely of slope bodybelow water levers is affected by ponding, based on the method of this article, the depth ofponding also affects the position of sliding surface, thus, it influences the stability of slope. Thecondition that the bottom of base-pit exist ponding is general, so, the analysis directed at thisaspect in the article is full of engineering practical significance.This article directs at cohesive soil foundation pit slope with ponding, based on analyzingthe stability of hard dine slip mass usually use force-balanced method, only considering the soilwhether slip and taking no account of soil whether roll, assuming that the different water levelsinside of the foundation pit and various may slip surface, and the internal force of isolated-body’contact surface parallel to slip surface. According to the theoretical derivation, solving thetheoretical solutions of stability problem factor of safety, and conducting the stability checkingon multiple potential slip surfaces, we also employ MathCAD software programming, the fussyformula and repetitive job will be solved easily. Date outputs with matrix form, to determine themost dangerous water level elevation and the most unfavorable position of slip surface, get theslip surface the safety factor of the smallest. Finally, it makes the problem be solved. And theresult of evaluation is similar to the analysis result of "Institute of Rock and Soil", which is useful engineering application software. The conclusion can be made that the evaluation resultsof this software is reliable, scientific. It has good practicability in engineering.
