Space grid as a kind of spatial structures, it is applied more and more widely in theconstruction of gym, bus station, the railway station, airport and big span roof bearingstructures,because space grid has the characteristics of novel structure, beautiful shape,members of regularity, tidy of grid, big stiffness and anti-seismic capability. With thedevelopment of society and economy in our country, people have a high demand to theshapes and functions of building. Some space grid need to open holes in the roofing ofgrids due to the functions of use, sculpt and so on. In this paper, FEM is adopted to makecontrastive analysis structural modal of different shape and size of opening and itsvibration characteristics, wind vibration, response seismic response. The analysis resultshow that each state influence of space grid. Some suggestion and improvement measuresare presented. The following contents are mainly considered:1. The static behaviors analysis of space grid with different shape, size, location, thestudy appears in the size, distribution of internal force and displacement. The comparisonand analysis of the different structure of static characteristics, puts forward thereinforcement measures.2. The buckling modal analysis of space grid with different shape, size, location ofopening and no holes, reinforced holes,obtain the correspondent buckling factors. Thecomparison and analysis of space grid with different shape and size, location openingaffecting the stability and bearing capacity of grid structure.3. The finite element mode analysis of space grid with different shape, size, locationof opening and no holes, reinforced holes,obtain the self-resonant frequencies andcorrespondent vibration mode, also the different shape and size, location of openingaffecting space grid vibration characteristics is analyzed.4. The seismic response analysis is conducted by using response spectrum method andprecise time integration method for space grid with different shape, size, location ofopening and no holes, reinforced holes. The displacement and the axial forces of space gridunder the seismic response, and obtained the calculation difference of space grid betweendifferent shape, size, location of opening are shown. The study of different shapes and size,location of openings affecting space grid seismic capacity is done.Finally, the contents of this study were summarized. I hope the study can providereference for space grid engineering research and design.
