With the rapid development of the aviation industry, pollutants released into the atmosphere by aero engine have been increasing steadily and low emission has become a more and more important performance for aero engine combustors. Since the rich-burn-quench-lean-burn (RQL) combustor is one kind of low emission combustors with bright prospects for application, numerical analysis and study on factors affecting its performance will doubtlessly play a important role of reference for the optimum design of RQL combustor .A RQL model combustor with a rectangular cross-section is preliminary designed,on the basis of reviews research about RQL combustor. Numerical simulation method is adopted to research the parameters of combustor having influent on flow field, temperature field and pollut emission(such as hole position, swirlers spacing, outlet angleθ,ratio of flow inner diameter to flow outer diameter z , jet holes number, total section area of the holes). According to the numerical research results, the RQL model combustor is optimized. Further studies on jet air qulityand and chemical equivalentin in rich zone have effect on low pollution. Results shows that jet air quality is 0.069 kg/s and chemical equivalent is 1.2, which avails both quenching air and gas mixed, the emission quality of NOx and CO are 7ppm and 11ppm respectively. The results of investigation relating to diffuser in this thesis indicate that the ratio of jet holes area to the inlet area have affect on flow distribution of RQL combustor.
