Glass Flake Reinforced Polymer has good heat resistance performance, goodanti-permeability and corrosion resistance capacity. Besides, it could be easily handedin construction with a reasonable price, hence it is widely used in power, chemical, oiland Marine projects. Nevertheless, the premature failure is a common phenomenon;Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) has excellent performance, and it has been maturelyused in ship, aviation, aerospace and automotive fields. In recent years, as the FRPextends gradually in the project of corrosion resistance, its long-term performance instrong corrosive environment has caught public attention world widely, the theoryresearch and test data accumulation of strong corrosion resistance properties of FRPare very limited yet.Through the investigation of the desulfurization system anti-corrosion of powerplant, this paper presented the knowledge about corrosive environment, andpreliminary qualitatively analyses the main causes of the failure of the anticorrosion;verify the research conclusion through simulation test, and deeply analyses influenceof the material factors, construction factors (including base material processing,construction temperature and humidity, anticorrosion layer thickness and maintenancetime) and operation condition factors (including variable temperature, dry and wetalternating, different pH of strong sulfuric acid, temperature and load common function)to resin glass flake anticorrosion material long-term performance; this paper has donelong-term performance test research of FRP in the strong corrosive environment ofacid,alkali, water, variable temperature, dry and wet alternating, and under combinedaction of temperature and load, mainly research in the environment outward appearance, quality, surface hardness change and bending performance degradation ofFRP.The test results show that the first significant reason of the resin glass flakeanticorrosion material premature failure is the non-standard construction, and thesecond reason is that the performance of material did not meet the requirement ormaterial improper selection, the impact of joint action of temperature and load onperformance are great as well. Joint action of temperature and load affects thelong-term performance of FRP deeply. When the temperature is90℃, the residualstrength remains only18%, bending modulus falls to53%; Other great influence ofenvironmental effect on the properties is acid and high temperature. Strong acidic andalkaline environment, the effect of general acidic environment is small, sea water,different temperature, dry and wet alternating environment had no significant effect onperformance of FRP.
