Belt Corridor is a special structure, plays an important role of connecting the productionline in the industry. In recent years, with the development of our industrial, its demand is alsogrowing. At present, although scholars have done some theory and design research of the beltcorridor structure, but its seismic response characteristics of the study is not enough. With anengineering example, this article will use the SAP2000to study the dynamic characteristics ofthe steel bridge, the main structure of the belt corridor, to get its seismic response. The steel bridge’s3-D finite element model of overall structure were established, whosecalculation models are set up according to the actual size of the structure. Modal analysis ofthe structure indicates that the low-order modes for the overall vibration, the higher modes forthe different forms of local vibration. It is recommended that the right amount of vibrationnumber of combinations shall be taken to avoid the higher modes lost, to be fully reflected thedynamic characteristics of the structure. In addition, modal analysis also reflects the weakestparts of the vertical stiffness are the top beams of the bridge, and drop-down boom verticalsupport along the longitudinal stiffness is very weak.In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Seismic Design of Buildings",thispaper taking into account the horizontal and vertical seismic effects on the structure and usethe response spectrum and time history analysis method to analyze the seismic response of thebridge structure in four different operating conditions. The two methods obtained similarresults, but the response spectrum method is larger, the response spectrum method can reflectthe largest internal force of the structure. The results show that: the vertical seismic forcescontrol the structure’s force and displacement; the force and displacement in the chord of thebridge are the largest, belonging to the control cross-section bar of the structure; the controlsection of the bottom chord is in the bottom of the bridge; the drop-down boom chord force isuniform; there are torque on the vertical bars of the drop-down boom, they are the weak linkof the structure. On the basis of the analysis and calculation results, this paper raised some seismicrecommends. More reasonable proposals have been given to design the belt corridor bridgeframe and improve the seismic performance of the structure for the engineering staff.
