At present, the uncertainty structure’s modal analysis method and the time dynamic responseanalysis method have two approaches: First, the random method based on probability theory. Andsecond, the interval analysis method and convex models method based on the interval mathematicaltheory.In this paper,the random method and interval method are investigated.The random factormethod is the random method based on the probability theory,and the interval factor method is theinterval analysis method based on the interval mathematical theory. Finally, the vertex solutiontheorem is investigated, it is the convex models method to estimate the range of the dynamic responseof structures, based on the interval mathematical theory. For the three methods above, it is to solve thedigital characteristics of the natural frequency and mode shapes for the truss structure using therandom factor method,and It is to estimate the upper and lower of the natural frequency and modeshapes intervals for the truss structure using the interval factor method,and it is to estimate thesupremum and the infimum of the first-order deviation of the dynamic response using the vertexsolution theorem.The content is as follow.In this paper,the randon factor method and the interval method are used for analysing the naturalfrequencies and mode shapes of the complex truss structure. Firstly, considering the structure of thephysical parameters and the structure geometry with uncertainty separately, secondly, consideringthese two uncertainties of the internal structure above,and finally, investigating the effect of theuncertainties of all parameters on the structural natural frequencies and mode shapes of a structure.Inthis paper, the random factor method and interval factor method are compared under the sameconditions,and then advising and discussing the basis for the specific case of the two methodspreferred.Finally,the supremun and the infimum of the first-order deviation of the transient impactresponse are determined by the vertex solution theorem, considering the within system uncertaintiesand the outside system uncertainties of impact separately, and give the the upper and lower boundedinterval of the displacement of structure.
